Jas wanted to pursue a body recomposition goal that would allow him to get leaner without having to go through all of the stress and discomfort he associated with the traditional approach to cutting and weight loss. So we ensured that his calories never went below about 2500 calories, and alongside well-calibrated strength training, sought to build a lifestyle that would naturally burn more fat than it accumulated. If we could achieve this, essentially it would mean that on a long enough timeline, Jas would arrive at his desired level of body fat without any need for a post-dieting ‘bounce-back’ This is a very steady way to approach health & fitness, however, it’s a strategy that ultimately means that results can be maintained.
